Fresh Catch complies with all EU/USDA approvals.
As a primary supplier to secondary processors (canneries and smokehouses) who provide products to major UK and International retailers the company must and does comply with the rigorous and exacting procedures and audits required.
Fresh Catch has of course full traceability on all fish landed to the factory and now has Marine Stewardship Council certification for the facility. The company has full H.A.C.C.P controls in place. The Quality Control department within the facility has its own sophisticated lab to ensure all necessary tests are carried through and they constantly check for grades, fat levels and fish temperature to ensure the product is of the highest quality at all times. The lab also checks for salmonella, listeria, TBVN, histamine and nematodes and other parasitic pests. Fresh Catch has for many years been a Seafish Quality Processor (Higher Award) but this particular award scheme has now been discontinued and as a result the company is currently working towards its accreditation for the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Award.
Fresh Catch welcomes on-site inspections by customers during the processing of their orders.
